Follow your business's food-safety plan and applicable health requirements as soon as temperatures move outside the approved range. Record the displayed and independently measured temperatures, minimize door openings, and move product only according to your established safety procedures.
Check operating conditions, not sealed components
Confirm doors close fully, gaskets are not obstructed, product is not blocking interior airflow, and the condenser area is not covered or crowded. Note whether fans are running and whether you hear unusual cycling. Do not bypass controls, add refrigerant, or open electrical panels.
What a technician may evaluate
A complete diagnosis may include door sealing, airflow, coils, fan motors, controls, sensors, defrost operation, electrical components, compressor performance, and the refrigeration circuit. A temperature symptom alone does not identify which component failed.

Should I keep opening the cooler to check the temperature?
Limit door openings while monitoring with an appropriate thermometer. Repeatedly opening the door adds heat and can accelerate the temperature rise.
Does a warm commercial refrigerator always need refrigerant?
No. Airflow, controls, fans, defrost components, door sealing, electrical faults, and other conditions can cause similar symptoms. Refrigerant should only be evaluated and handled by a qualified technician.
